This piece was created from a specialty acrylic that had grass embedded in it. I thought they looked like trees and so laser-etched the oak leaves into the surface, followed by gold leafing. The bezel was milled from a piece of black walnut. I inlaid the laser cut acrylic piece into the bezel and sealed it with resin. It is one of my favorite pieces to this day.
